Vellus, Latin for: a single piece of hide and fur, not separated. This is the original name for what is now called shearling. In Vellus, fur is not added later; it is the natural hair of the hide itself. It extends outwards at the collar, cuffs, and front closure.
Suede on the outside, fur on the inside — it looks simple from the outside but provides the warmth of a coat on the inside. Because of its increased thickness, the cut is slightly wider; take your normal size. We provide a care kit for the suede from our workshop.

The website shows the models we selected for you. Hundreds more are hanging in our Zeytinburnu store. Come in, try them all on, and see which one suits you in the mirror.
We have been doing this for 37 years and everything we make is here. Take yours home the same day, and if a sleeve runs long, the craftsman shortens it to your measurements. We are open on weekdays between 10:00 and 19:00.

It Is Not At Its Best On Day One
We use only the back section of each hide. It is the most even and the most durable part of the skin. The rest is set aside.
That is why it does not wear out over the years, it deepens. It settles on your shoulders and starts holding light differently. That is patina, and it cannot be bought, only worn into being.

The Tailor Is Included
In Istanbul a jacket does not sit right until it has been to a tailor. We included that step in the price. Sleeves, waist, shoulders, all free.
If none of our sizes fit, we cut to your measurements at no extra cost. You are welcome to come to the atelier and be measured by the craftsman himself.

Bring It Back In Eight Years
If a seam opens, a lining loosens or a zipper tires, send it to our Istanbul atelier. We repair it and send it back. No labour charge, no time limit.

It Asks For Very Little
Do
- Store on a wide wooden hanger
- Dry flat at room temperature if it gets wet
- Apply a thin layer of conditioner once a year
- Keep it in a breathable cotton cover
